New Members: New Work @ Gallery 110
For the month of June, Gallery 110 will feature a group show of new artists. With no theme uniting the featured works other than their mutual newness to the gallery, this is sure to be a show filled with dramatically different work.
New artists to Gallery 110 include Jan Cook, Meredith Essex, Becky Frehse, David Jayne, Robert Horton, Gary Oliveira, Claire Renaut, Nancee Rostad, Ray Schutte, Sonya Stockton and Sue Wren.

This month Howard House is featuring Patti Warashina, “Conversations”.
“Warashina might best be described as a lyrical absurdist, her work merging the sensibilities of René Magritte and Hieronymus Bosch. Over her long and celebrated career, now spanning almost 45 years, the artist’s ceramic figures and objects have blended realism with wit and satire. Notably for Warashina, the body is almost always at the center of these narratives of the absurd, serving as a marker of the physical and psychological, of events both political and personal.” – via Howard House
